Making a Difference
I’m Camryn, and I’m a Psychology major at Middlesex Community College. I hope to eventually become a clinical psychologist so that I can improve the lives of those with mental illnesses and developmental disabilities and help destroy the stigma surrounding these things.
I decided to volunteer at Asperger Works because I have seen the way that developmentally disabled individuals, especially those on the Autism spectrum, are treated. My own little brother is developmentally disabled, and my love for him has made me want to help others diagnosed with similar disabilities. I want to see to it that people with developmental disabilities of all kinds find the resources and support that they need to thrive, and I believe that I can do that by working with the lovely members of Asperger Works!
